A Few Words from Our Founders: Kristy and Ana

In 2010 when we first learned about UrbanPromise Camden, we knew that their model was our vision for Miami - an organization that understands that positive relationships and role-models are critical to the success of every child. Since then, UrbanPromise Miami has been building the Path to Promise for the children and youth of Little Havana. Our mission is to equip children and youth of Miami with the skills necessary for academic achievement, life management, spiritual growth, and leadership. We fulfill this mission through after-school programs, summer camps, experiential learning, job training, and a host of other programs that challenge youth to develop and realize their potential.

The goal of the After-School program is to provide children and StreetLeaders with a safe environment where our staff can assist them to improve their academic performance and life skills through tutoring and educational enrichment programs.

UrbanPromise is unique in that we believe in caring for the “whole” child. We provide free counseling and evaluative services on-site and during after-school hours to campers and their families.

BARS is a program specifically designed to bring awareness to youth within our programs about risky circumstances that may take them down a slippery slope into delinquency.
