A Few Words from Our Founders: Kristy and Ana

In 2010 when we first learned about UrbanPromise Camden, we knew that their model was our vision for Miami - an organization that understands that positive relationships and role-models are critical to the success of every child. Since then, UrbanPromise Miami has been building the Path to Promise for the children and youth of living in under-resourced communities. Our mission is to equip children and youth of Miami with the skills necessary for academic achievement, life management, spiritual growth, and leadership. We fulfill this mission through after-school programs, summer camps, experiential learning, job training, mentoring, counseling and a host of other programs that challenge youth to develop and realize their potential.

UrbanPromise is unique in that we believe in caring for the “whole” child. We provide free counseling and evaluative services on-site and during after-school hours to campers and their families.

UrbanPromise Miami provides StreetLeaders with extensive training, tutoring (academic standing is directly tied to the number of days a StreetLeader may participate in the program), college preparation, and one-to-one mentoring to help them succeed in and outside of the program.

Summer camps run for six (6) weeks and provide up to 100 children with fun, educationally-based, and age-appropriate activities.
